Quilting

I finished the Chevron Hearts top.  Now I need to find a good backing fabric.

 

I have also started on a new quilt inspired by a project in Modern Patchwork, Spring 2014.  The project is the "New World Pouch" using the Mayflower Block.  I made a slightly larger template for my blocks, resulting in a 6.5" square.   The pattern uses paper piecing, which I enjoy.  I'm going to alternate between this pieced block and a solid grey block. 

 

Last Day of Fourth Grade

Pool Time

Granted, the kids started using the pool in April, but with the last day of school on Thursday and the warm weather settling in, it is officially pool season!

Chevron Hearts

In the spirit of using what I have,  I've been able to put together a quilt top made from the scraps of another quilt and use up some white squares I had mis-cut.  I will attach a wide white border.  I need to buy some backing fabric but other than that, everything was on hand.
